OPTIC R Repository and Tutorial for Creating Policy Wheel Data Visualizations

Abstract

This R-based tool (and accompanying tutorial) allows users to create Opioid Policy Tools and Information Center (OPTIC)-style policy wheel data visualizations that illustrate the timeline over which state policies are implemented. The tool includes a working example of how to use this code with OPTIC-vetted policy data for state policies related to naloxone access, Good Samaritan laws, and medical and recreational marijuana policies.
